Bethesda Softworks have released a free, browser-based version of the legendary first-person shooter, Wolfenstein 3D for the game’s 20th anniversary.

The 3D game is a remake of the classic Apple II game, Return to Castle Wolfenstein which was initially released 20 years ago! That makes me feel really old.

The game, can be played at the Bethesda website, supports most modern browsers: Google Chrome 16, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 11, and Apple Safari 5.

The game is mouse-enabled, although players can play it via their keyboard only, if they wish.

It’s deja-vu time again as Activision release the latest trailer for Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 and the reaction to it so far seems negatively hesitant.

The game is centred around the enemy taking control of the US army’s unmanned weapon systems. It’s all sounding very nondescript and Top Gun-ish.

The game is set to do battle with Microsoft’s Halo 4 in November 2012 when they are both released. Who’ll empty the lucrative pockets of geeks, boys and girlfriend-less men the world over for the most $$? Time will tell.
